Sage Gnocchi

We make several types of gnocchi for all kinds of dishes. Sometimes we serve it as an accompaniment to a dish or as a dish itself. This is a basic gnocchi recipe and can be made ahead of time as indicated. You may substitute any herb of your choice.

Ingredients:

2 Idaho potatoes
1.5 egg yolks
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons minced fresh sage

The tradition of afternoon tea is said to have begun with the Duchess of Bedford in the 19th century. The duchess developed quite a hunger after her midday meals at Belvoir Castle, and adopted the habit of taking tea with cakes in the afternoon before dinner. When the duchess returned to London, the practice of inviting friends to come to tea in the afternoon was quickly picked up by other social hostesses.
