While our formal service mirrors the elegance of a bygone era, our chef combines old and new into a totally contemporary culinary and visual experience. Our restaurant, Gabrielle's receives the AAA Four Diamond Award and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence each year.
Luncheons
The Garden Pavillion dining room is a wonderful location for luncheons for groups of 20 to 70. The many windows in the dining room reveal panoramic views of the Mansion, waterfall, and Parterre Garden, and your guests will enjoy the postcard setting.
After lunch, your group will probably want to walk through the gardens, stroll by the mountain brook, and tour the first floor of the historic Mansion, a North Carolina treasure.
Dinners
The Garden Pavillion dining room accommodates from 20 to 60 guests for elegant, sit-down dinners. As the sunset dims the gardens, the views from the dining room remain as enchanting with the spotlighted waterfall and the lights of the Mansion. On warm nights we can serve cocktails and hors d'oeuvres under the arbor, nestled by the garden adjacent to the dining room.
Entertainment
We will be happy to assist you in planning any sound, lighting, or entertainment. Any outdoor or indoor entertainment must conclude by 9 p.m.
Reservation Policies
- Your reservation is secured with a $500 non-refundable deposit with the signed contract. This deposit is applied directly to the final bill.
- An estimated number of guests and final menu selections are due four weeks prior to the event.
- The final guest count and an estimated pre-payment are due 3 days before the event. If a final guest count is not received, we will consider the projected number indicated on the contract to be the guaranteed number.
- Should you cancel less than 30 days before the event, you will be refunded 50% of the estimated pre-payment.
- Payment is due at the end of the event. You will be charged for the guaranteed number of guests attending, plus any additional guests. Tax and a service charge of 20% are added to all charges.
- If an outdoor event is planned and there is a forecast of 30% or more chance of inclement weather, we will check the weather conditions at least three hours prior to the event and make a decision whether or not to relocate to an indoor location.
- If you have any guests that will be arriving in motor coaches or motor homes, notify the Events Manager. Since we are located on a hilltop, getting to and around the property can be tricky for large vehicles.
